Rubrail, Stainless Or White

On a white boat should I go with a stainless rub rail or white plastic? What the pros or cons?

I have had both and it depends on if you dock your boat a lot a marinas with some strong currents, the stainless looks good on some boats, BUT the least little tap of a pilon and you have a nice little dent, which then makes the whole side look like crap. The white can get little scatchs and dirty but carbaurator cleaner makes it good as new.

Stainless ones always jiggle screws loose easier than plastic...plus if you flex the hull the stainless bends outward and pops a screw or 2 loose..docking I do not hit stuff..hardly  ..my new boat has no rub rail  now you can never hit anything..I would go with plastic again.

White boat... white rubrail. Gives a real clean appearance.

Go with Both
Look at the Newer model Fountains with a white backing rubber or plastic material that has a stainless insert.......
Less cleaning than the full white and much tougher than plain stainless and looks really nice........
2 cents worth at half price

If the boat has a good "classic" line .... Consider BLACK !!!

Really accentuates the line of the boat ....

Stainless doesn't hold up , and White fades and gets dull over time .
