Engine flush help needed
I'll be putting a t/ball valve before the water strainer, running a hose up to the lip under the engine hatch. What end are you using to attach your hose to?
Any pics of this? Thanks. |

Re: Engine flush help needed
Wow that came out very small do not know why?
The fitting is on the left there if you can make it out. It was great though. Works a lot better than a flush muff on the drive. |
Re: Engine flush help needed
put the T between the strainer and the pump. That way when you turn the water on you'll backwash any crap in the stainer out.

Yea titan... that pic is way small.
a little OT, but you should come to zul's shop when they dyno my motor. Looks like rexmarine sells a nice setup. http://www.rexmar.com/page165.html It comes w/ a brass ball valve. Is it worth the $100? I could probably do it all in brass for less $. |

In our rig we have that to attach the hose and a pull lever shut-offs (look at bottom left of the picture) to shut the external water pick-ups to rinse your engines even when your staying in saltwater overnight. All boats from Lip-Ship come with that.

Re: Engine flush help needed
Sorry storm did not know it was going to come out that small.. It is a good size on my computer..
GLH -- That set up makes it nice. I may have to think abot that. SInce I usually have tendancies to leave the boat at the dock for the weekend. The town will not let us put a lift in. So Trailer it sits during the week. |
