Steve, That batboat was out of Louisiana, I believe. Pretty sure it was bought as a bare hull and rigged by the owner with a Merc 500EFI/Bravo. Seems to me that it wound up with a ProCharger and won it's class at the LOTO shootout in 2003 by several miles per hour. Looked to be pretty neatly done. R - Of course you can drive. In that thing, it simply involves holding the steering wheel straight and not doing anything too dumb. I will (of course) be operating the throttle.... Wearing green/yellow spandex, while very becoming on you, will automatically relegate you to "passenger" status - watch the reruns. |

C'mon Chuck remember when we swapped boats for the day? At least you can let him throttle it too. |

Re: Nothing about Apaches in this thread.
You know, I just realized that we might be able to get this thread headed in an "Apache" direction after all:
After his deal with Ocke Mannerfelt to build BatBoats collapsed, Chip Ridge of Armada made a deal to pass the rights and molds on to Chris Reindl, who is still doing his best to keep the program going. However, when Chris first started his venture.... He had Mark MacManus doing quite a bit of work for him. :D |
Re: Nothing about Apaches in this thread.
Chuck, are you stirring the coals? Just throw some gas on it, It's faster :D

C_Spray , is the verticle fin in the back something Reindal added?
i looked at all the pics on your homepage and not all of the boats have them. i assume it helps keep the boat level? |
