Well My Baby's Gone !!

Well i got an email last week from a potential buyer from Finland. Laughed it off as i do the rest i get from outta the country. Then Wednesday i get a call that there in NY visiting family. So again i brush it off. Yesterday i get a call that there in my home town and would like to see the boat. Now mind you its shrink wrapped, winterized etc...I say sure, i meet them at the boat, he likes what he sees and wants to get in and take a look, so i say ok if i cut the shrink wrap and you dont decide to purchase it YOUR payinf to have re-wrapped...he agree's. Out comes the knife slice i nice little entrance panel comes out 10 minutes later mumbles some stuff to his interpretor. Interpretor looks at me and says...save him $500.00 and we have a deal. Gives me a deposit, we meet at bank this AM he has hi funds wire transferred into my acct and i'm taking her to the port MONDAY AM....SOLD FOR $49500....now its a matter of whats next

Im going to have to pay more attention to the oversea's emails, I usually dont even open them. |

I had the exact same boat and had major seller's remorse after selling it in 2002. You got all the money for it though!!

well after a day of termoil the deal is done. they got aggrevated because i wouldnt cancel dinner plans and haul my ass to port elizabeth at 7:30 pm...i handed him the keys to the boat and tongue lock, props, porta pottie and told him due to his nastyness and ungratefulness now he can fend for himself...

so chris....hows the AMT...my buyers brother said that in Finland Powerboats are on fire...my boat over there would sell for $70,000 plus in american $$$$$$$ :drink:

plus they have to pay a 24% duty (tax)...he figures after alls said and done he'll be $12-$14K ahead of buying one there

Just had a customer of mine sell his Fountain to someone in the Phillipines for stupid money.Couldnt understand the interpretor when they called, but knew they were getting phucked. :D :D

i really want a cat as most of you know. i spoke with my allstate insurance agent and they will insure a 30 spectre "BUT" it cant exceed twin 260hp outboards...$938 a year with a lay-up from 11/01-04/15 ...if i get one with 300's was quoted 3300/year from an outside agency...so due to the insurance BS probably gonna go with a mid 90's V, minimum 31ft(prefer a 35 fountain) but as silly as this is gonna sound also looking at a 2000 formula 330 SS :drink: and will use that as the party boat and my boys 02 Gladiator as the terrorizor :evilb:
