Boat Financing??

I was wondering who is reputable for financing power boats? Like to deal with someone who is knowlegeable and can offer good rates and terms.(imagine that). I saw this in a thread earlier but my search isn't working so I'm asking again. Thanks in advance.

I would be happy to quote you a rate. I've been doing marine finance for 13 years and am a performance boater myself.

I would also be happy to quote you a rate for an extended warranty if your boat qualifies.
Thanks

   I think Sky Bank, or Second National Bank, in Youngstown OH. They probably have been alittle slow in the marine business. Never mind you did say reputable didnt you!!!

with a score over 700 I got 5.62, for 20 years. It makes an expensive boat affordable:D the whole team at beacon was awesome, even through closing. everything was followed up on to the last letter. Even got a card in the mail a few days ago from them thanking me for my business.

If anybody is thinking of buying a boat in the near future it may be smart to submit an application and get your rate locked in. My lenders offer rate locks of between 30 and 60 days and with five major lenders raising rates 1/2 point this week, the others that have not yet raised will not be far behind. [email protected]

Do a search here on OSO for a lot of information.

I hightly recommend Robin Harris at Harris Marine Financing.

She is fantastic.

What year and what % down did you use to get the terms?

Finman

Re: Boat Financing??

Typically under $100,000 banks will finance 90% of the purchase price and tax. Over $100,000 some banks require 15% and others 20%.

It was a 00 Tiger, and they did the full amount no Doc as I'm self employed, had an answer in less than an hour and was closed in 7-10 days. It's all based on your score and your ratios, if its all in line, and you have a score mid 700's you should get a great rate.

I was just curious what terms would be for a 1996 year boat around $50000 to be financed.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I have a 1997 Powerplay, the rate is 5.99% (purchase price was $65K)
I know everyone, Trader1 bought my boat from the original owner for $50K, I paid $65K, but it surveyed for $90K.....so it's all good!!
