hey srobak, The first scarab was an 1986. I have that boat. Close but no cigar! ha ha Its allways good to see people are intrested in the boats of vice. This is the show that started all this crazy ****!

The first stinger in the pilot was an 84 it had a single stand up bench type bolster the stinger models with the two separate bolsters came out in 85

Not sure...I never saw a 84 with twin bolsters...maybe the shows producers were able to get one first from Chris Craft
before they were released for the 85 model year :confused:

Hey Srobak, The first Scarab was custom made by Larry Smith in 85. But the serial number ends in 86. They did this because all the Miami Vice additions were released in 86.I also met with Rick A couple of months ago at the Miami Boat show. He is Quite a guy. We are Working on a project together. Ill let you know how it works out! I also met with Larry Smith, He is Quite a guy also! Lots of info on the boat. He is also working on a couple of other projects, One he had at the inwater portion of the show, Nice rig!

srobak,Nice site, He has got some good pics of my boat that i sent him. I will send him more when i get my new puter in a couple of weeks.I also had a nice chat with Dan Macnamara, Hes got some wild stories too.I have met so many great people while restoring the vice boat. Its been a great experance!
