The stories some of you guys are posting about interacting with the kids are great. Very classy. Not only does it have to make the kids day, it's gotta make yours too. Too bad adults aren't always like that.

Here here, the kid stories show the caliber folks we have involded in our favorite hobby. Makes up from the scumbags around that give the boating industry a badname. I wish there was more people like you .......then the daily life would pis% me off a lot less.

I've done that to some nose walkers one time....Man you would have thought they were walking across hot coals and they have to navigate the old school trip wire as well.
When they had to get back to their boat they walked the noses again until they got to ours. They jumped in, proceeded to swim AROUND our boat and got up on the next boat to continue their journey.

The stories about kid's are great, I was also that kid at the marina that was always annoying someone with a fast boat.

The kids ?'s are cool, and I always answer them politely. Now, some of the adult's remarks require a MYOB or a .45 blast to the head just to put them out of their misery. 
My most poular ? is, "Will that thing pull a skier?" Often I reply "Yes it will, Ijust haven't found anyone crazy enough to get on the end of a rope behind me!"

I also get the usual stupid questions, I don't mind them from the kids
as I was doing the same thing at the ramp as a kid .
Any way my favorite was one afternoon I was on my way back to the
ramp and gave it that last blast........bout 80-85. At the ramp a few
minutes later some nut job comes sliding in on the rocks with pickup
right towards my dually as we were pulling up ramp. He jumps out
and starts screaming about how my wake rocked his boat and his
12 year old daughter slipped and hit her head and was on her way to
the hospital.
This guy is obviously bombed, so I said, if you're kid is on her way
to hospital shouldn't you be with her. I was hoping he would do
something to give me an excuse to flatten him. I just told him
call the cops, then you can explain how you drove here smashed.
He slammed his door while still screaming threats. Probably went
back and got his wife and kid and drove home drunk.
Really what kind of wake travels almost 1/4 mile at 80+
what could it have been 8"?
