Grumpy sailboater launching next to us kept mumbling remarks but I just kept ignoring him which really made it worse. He yells " HEY!! - You deaf from the noise that boat makes?" - "Its boats like yours that give boating a bad name!" I just looked at him and said - LOL,- I wasn't aware that boating had a bad name! He goes - " I'm calling the Coast Guard on you smart azz".

We just put on the trailer and were wiping it down... this guy comes running up the ramp and says" Is that one of them Baja boats?" (it has a big Excalibur logo on the side, mind you) I said "NO", it is an Excalibur. He says, " Man that thing is loud like one of them Baja boats... I heard you all the way across the lake. Are you sure that's not one of them Baja boats?" I just looked at him and said, " I don't think so"

It's nice, but you can't fish from it. I ask "Why bother?" Just go a restaurant and order the kind of fish you want. Cheaper, easier and no mess.

Lengthy discussion once at a gas station.
Guy was just upset saying why would anyone want to spend money on something that goes so fast and is so big. He thought it was just a waste. His little ski boat was enough he thought.
Now granted, the car he was driving was a fullsize car. My reply was "why did you buy your car?" It does over 100, actually faster then my boat! He said he does not drive it that fast all the time though. Well I told him same here.
He said he needed it and liked the looks and how it drove.
So then I asked why he just did not buy a little import? He said he does not not feel comfortable in small cars. They ride hard and not comfortable to strecth out in.
I told him he just answered his own speculation on why I bought MY boat!
I Liked the ride, looks, size and comfort level compared to his stated ski boat
He got pissed and left without another word
