Re: Florida OSOers, I need info on Janisch Marine
Gerard,
Doug Janisch contracted Parkinsons disease a few years ago and sadly doesn't work on boats anymore. He was my mechanic for over 20 years and one of the most knowledgeable and honest people I've ever met. His last large job was installing the triple Whipples in my Black Thunder in 01. He does spend some time at SM Marine in Fort Lauderdale, their # is 954-764-1724. The proprietor of SM Marine is Tony San Marco Sr. He and Doug go way back to the late 60's.
Doug's former partner was the late Bill Sirois when they built Black Widow engines in the 70's. His partner at the Tigertail location was a knowledgeable guy by the name of Don. He still does some work on boats as time permits. He can also be reached thru SM Marine.
If I can be of any additional help, feel free to e mail or call. 954-980-2643.

Don Kutz is the guy who was Doug's partner at J & K Technical Services in Tigertail park.
Don is out of the boat business building custom homes.
He calls me now and then to tell me how happy he is to be out of the boat business!
He and Doug continue to be two of my favorite people.
