I ran it hard twice! Once for Victor when he bought it and once during a survey for a guy from Connecticut who opted for another boat.

Both times it seemed to love being pushed and was very well-mannered and predictable. The engines are very capable and healthy.

You will love running that fine Cigarette.

Thanks Ed, thats exactly what I was looking for, didnt want to deal with blower surge and maintenence of them, I passed on a couple very nice guns and tigers. Just wanted to find what was right for me and it is, decnt speed and reliable, will handle big waves when needed so its all good:)

Re: Tiger in MD now

They make a battery powered pusher for trailers. It looks like a two wheel trolley with a hitch and an electric motor. It will push the trailer into tight spaces as the wheels are driven. You could use that to push the boat in driveway once you lined it up with the truck. I cant remember where I saw it, try some of the boatyard supply companies. It was a lot cheaper than what you would be paying for storage.

Cheers,

Andy

Re: Tiger in MD now

Thanks Andy, actually Victor suggested that as well yesterday, I think those only work on flat there is an incline as soon as i turn in my driveway as well not sure how that would handle the weight uphill?. Went to a Marina yesterday that I can go month to month with for 150 bucks, that has great access to the bay and a good long ramp. I think I'll do that to start then keep exploring my options.

It may or may not, but the 3M adheasive remover will take it right off, that can be bought at any NAPA store, red and white can, just rub it on let it soak for a couple minutes and use a hard card to take it off. when you go to do it, let me know, I have everything.

rob what power do you have

offshoredrillin 04-03-2005 10:29 AM

Re: Tiger in MD now

500 EFI's, and xr'sRight around 280 hours, I'm going to run it like it is this year and do some power upgrades next winter, nothing too extreme though, dont want to lose reliability, slated this year are some paint upgrades to personalize it. cozzi has had it at 73 so thats good enough for now, I would like to top out at 83-85 and leave it at that.

kewler 04-03-2005 10:35 AM

Re: Tiger in MD now

I have two 750 blower motors that I'am selling if you want a little boost in power I'am going with some bigger power trying to hit 110

offshoredrillin 04-03-2005 10:37 AM

Re: Tiger in MD now

nice but no thanks, I could have gotten 4 or 5 blower boats, but I'm sticking with EFI, I like that turn key reliability.

generally we wipe it with alcohol first so the wax is at a minimum anyhow, we want adheasion to paint not wax, some other installers will wipe the front of the car down with the cleaner itself, I think that is over kill. The film itself has a clearcoat similar to paint, so you can wax right over it, it can even be sanded and buffed with 3M Trizac and a super fine foam pad:) Rob
