I just left Darin he has my props back from whoever had them and has agreed by next thursday he will have them re-tuned to reduce the rpm. I do think this is a great way to keep the playing field level some of you think not well in less than 24 hours my 6 month problem is working toward a resolution and the vendor houston propeller is being very coperative. Thanks for the input positive and otherwise and as they used to say on Dragnet 'just the facts please"

Im glad Darin has worked this out with you. I would have already brought up the problem waiting six months and getting yourself all worked up is not
worth it. Good luck with the props

Re: the power of this forum is amazing

Heidi posted a couple pictures a while back and not thinking some pervert near the boat launch we used would threaten to blow it to poster size and put it up at the marina, so we deleted the thread. This was not as anonoumous as we first thought. The guy would have been in the hospital had he done it, so better to delete it and learn a lesson.

I guess it is an option for folks who don't have the necessary means to handle their own business in private with a better rate of success. Somehow it still diminishes the site.

Now we all know things about BOTH of you that it would probably be better if we didn't.

Hard to see a winner from here. Glad that you feel like one.

Your high praise about Darin and how "coperative" he is rings a little hollow when one considers that you used OSO to twist his arm.

Re: the power of this forum is amazing

Sorry you feel my efforts were not up to your standards however you do not know the number of times this matter was attempted to be resolved in private. And the 6 months should give you an indication of the patientience that was displayed, now not to rehash this matter we will leave it where it is for now and P.S. who made you the internet police. I will try and run things by you next time. No winners on this deal just no BIG looseres either.

I have no idea WHAT you did for 6 months.
I just know that whatever you spent 6 months on was not effective, or we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I am not the internet police. I am somebody with a different opinion that you, who has been able to avoid using this kind of leverage over an OSO advertiser.
In any event....your thread is about using OSO as leverage against vendors. And that is what my post is about.
No need to run it by just me next time. Run it past the forum rules and stop on the part called "dirty laundry."

When you post a thread on a forum, you are inviting discourse from the membership. Sometimes people will not agree with you. Try to be strong. You can take it. Perhaps different opinions is the cost of choosing the tactic that you did. Oh well.
If you do not want discussion of your topic, don't post.

I have no problem with you.... and I do not even know Darin.
Please try to accept the fact that you and I have a different opinion without thinking that I am attacking you. I'm not.

If you are proud of how you handled this situation. Great.
It's your business anyway. (Isn't that my point?)

Good luck with your props. Have a great summer.

Shewbart, some of us agree with you. If someone would have sold my props........I probably would not have handled it as well as you did.

I am happy for you that it all worked out.

Yes. I understand.
So when you gonna post more pics?

Re: the power of this forum is amazing

Bottom line is in the boating industry, the business owners screw paying customers and we have no recourse except to accept the fact that we got ripped off. Because in most Cases they just close their doors and you are out of luck, your money, and at times even your boat. I praise OSO for letting us air out some bad business practices no matter who it be.

Sometimes thats what it takes. Seems to me shewbart
came to his OSO brothers as a last ditch effort. I've
done business with Darin back when he was getting
a credit card up front. I have to tell you that I was getting
a little nervous when a 2 week turnaround turned into
8 weeks. Maybe Darrin has personal problems, but
biz is biz and you have to take care of your customers.
If Darin has a different story, he should post his side.
I've found that OSO folks seem pretty reasonable.
