there both the same price, yes the krypto has a cabin, opposing bench's and v-berth, and yes again if it werent for insurance i'd be in a 30 spectre with 300x's but not gonna pay 4k a year for insurance. i only sold my scarab because i got more then i pay'd for it for rarely happens on a boat. sold it made sense to sell. scarab ran 70, i think that hustler would run a solid 72-74, supposedly the krypto will run mid 80's? so it boils down to size and comfort or speed and no headaches...(i hope)

the other factor is that since i DONT live on the water...my boats are trailer queens. much easier to run around with that 29 vs the 32. alot of awesome points here...and again like i said if it werent for the fact that i had a helluva offer on my scarab i wouldnt have sold her....although i was gettin bored with 70mph

as far as numbers $$ are concerned...worst case $65k for either one...then i'll have to buy a trailer to boot for the hustler...so whats the story on that 31 bullet...i dont wanna spend over $65k

if you were goingto get that cat with 300Xs it sounds like your a day boat Poker Run type of guy.......go with that Krypt for sure........you watch them on tv passing some of the F2 boats...............doug

65k for an 05 Kryp with a hp500efi is a great price. i doubt it will run mid 80s though. the F-1s only ran 80-82 with a 500efi at best and 84 - 86 with 525efi.

all said, if the decision is that tough, keep looking for the right one

Bernie, what do you really want for 70K? Can you wrench it yourself?

1. a fast boat but don't care about creature comforts? = 30 spectre - twin 300s = 100mph.
2. a fast Vee with no creature comforts, low maintanance? - Kryptonite
3. a faster V than you had with more creature comforts? - Hustler or similar.

The only problem with the price of gas, you'll be taken it easy with the twin BBC.

The cat is probably what you really want, but insurance is an issue. Did you see Rolf at Proroc yet?

i've talked to rolf and francine they have a gorgeous one there little more than i want to spend, but even so i was told by buzz (insurance agent) that as of january 1 2005 if you have no previous cat ownership NOT EXPERIENCE but ownership that nobody will write a policy for a cat...i'm leaning very strongly towards the kryptonite and if the weather is better then today i'm going to see her tomorrow
