use Collonite's "glass insulator wax" for top coat

longest lasting most impermiable wax I've ever used. It's a semi-liquid in the traditional Collonite bottle.

Dude, we own boats, isnt it always expensive? Really though the polymer isnt cheap but it goes very far, I think in the long run it will be worth it. once I have the paint work done on the Tiger, I'll prolly be using Zaino strictly, if for anything other than the ease of application...Rob

Look out for the fat chic

Collinites the best longest lastin wax out! 1 coat works fine for me but the boat gets waxed pretty often.

I talked to a boat detailer last year and he was telling me the wax they use doesn't bead up water. He said it still protected but because the water didn't bead up you wouldn't have to towel dry it to avoid water spots.I can't remember what it was called, what do you guys think?

I have used both Collinite and Zaino. Both work work about the same. The Collinite was the paste version as that holds up better and I applied 2 coats so that it lasted longer. I think for a wax product Collinite is hard to beat.

The Zanio is the best I have found for the cars, it lasts twice as long as anything else I have tried. It doesn't last as long on the boat comparied to the cars but still is good.

I think for any boat that is used every weekend you will need to recoat every month or every 2 months to keep the protection.

The polymers are were its at.
Waxes break down and you will need to do it once a month.
Try Liquid Glass or something similar 1 coat in the spring and it will last most of the summer if you use their wash (contains a small amount of the polish)
