Help No Oil Pressure At Sender

I started my motor and couldnt get oil pressure at the sender above oil filter adapter stock location.I then replaced the sender and took the old one and installed into relocated oil filter on the back of the head and started the motor and the guage is pretty well pinned on 80 lbs.Bought another guage and it still read 80lbs.WTF?
The motor is not a gen 6 block,Do I have the lines reversed at the oil filter?
I even removed the sender and no oil came out but the passage is clear and you can see oil inside.

Also doesnt seem that the oil is getting up to the top of the motor either.Any Ideas?

I never ran this motor, but I did change the oil cooler and filter housing.I took a photo of the old set up and it looks like I have the oil lines reversed at the filter. That is why my pressure is so high it wont flow backwards from the filter>Just a guess Ill try to look tomorrow.

Do you have the kind of adapter that goes in place of spin on oil filter? If so the oil goes out the fitting on the side and back to the engine through the fitting in the center.

Re: Help No Oil Pressure At Sender

Good answer Patriyacht, switched the lines today problem solved! I could have kept it a secret but Nahhhh.

Clue #1 high oil pressure 80 lbs

Clue # 2 No oil pumping up to valvetrain

Clue #3 Im left handed and no oil coming out of sender port.

I asked 2 very good engine builders and they were clueless, but its spring and they are overworked.

Thanks for the reply Brian

Your welcome. Hope you didn't leave it running long enough to damage anything.

Re: Help No Oil Pressure At Sender

Its all good just ran for a minute, the lower end is immersed in oil so should be fine.I cranked it over to check wiring to guages(new Boat)and caught the problem before starting.I will post pictures of the new machine soon.
