plug wires
 

for a 2000 hp 500 carb motor, using msd boxes what would be a good set of plug wires to buy.

also what is the timing setting for total timing.

Timely question. I was going to post one very similar. I was looking at the MSD Marine 8.5mm wires ($78) that have stainless connectors or the Accel Armor Shield 8mm ($47) with the stainless braid on the outer layer.

What about spark plug recommendations?

moroso ultra40 race wires are the best i have seen so far

but msd 9mm are good as well

I'm in need of a tune up and wondering the same thing. Plugs, cap, rotors, wires. Have always used MSD but if there is somthing better I'm all ears.
