Ignition recommendations needed

I just finished installing an M1 Procharger (non SC) on a 97 Baja Outlaw w/ 454 Mag (carb). I did my first test run Sunday and was quite impressed w/ the results. Spinning a 3 bl 27p Mirage Plus 5100rpm for an indicated speed on speedo (not GPS) of 80 mph. Last summer was running 64mph on speedo.

Anyway, I changed the plugs, installing A/C m43... . I'm would also like to freshen up the rest and am looking for recs.

What coil, wire set and plug gap do you guys recommend ?

Thanks

If you buy an MSD box...be sure to get two and be SURE to keep it on the boat. Buy only one and you'll find out why

I have heard that BUT,i have put msd on at least 15 different projects in my life and never had one ever quit. I am currently running a msd 6btm and have had it on my boat for over 300 hours/4 seasons, has never quit yet so i guess i must be lucky?Smitty

go with an msd set up, thats all i can say, but i would do a .035 gap instead, with good plugs and an msd set up you will be fine with .035

Be sure to check out the Crane box.
It has an adjustable rev limiter (100rpm increments), and multiple advance curves.
These are potted too, so moisture can't get in em...

I'm assuming he's running 6 psi or less boost because of the m-1 procharger, you can run .035 with a stock ignition,i have run .045 w/msd at 6 psi boost w/m-3 w/no misfires. The msd cleaned up the idling characteristics on my 502 and 540 nice after adding procharger(after lowering base timing, raising fuel pressure, running colder plugs and 93 octane gas in a 8.75 compression motor you need everthing you can get to fire the mixture). You can start out tight on spark plug gap and keep opening it up to get the biggest spark without misfiring as possible, ive ran .060 on a 12-1 drag motor before w/msd,Smitty

Well, Fred, you should post the entire picture of the motors that you trust the Crane box to!!

That is a setup to dream about (in my WILDEST dreams!)! I love your bracket for the electrical items. Extremely clean.
