Difference between Trim Pump and K-Plane Pump

My drive trim pumps are letting the drives creep out of postion when I'm running the boat. I've got a pair of pumps in storage but I'm not sure which they are--trim or K-plane pumps.

What's the difference between the two--if any? I was going to do a quick and dirty swap to see if that solved problem rather than mess with the relief valve at the moment.

I'm wondering if the genius that reinstalled my hydraoulic lines hooked wrong pumps up to wrong cylinders.

Guess I need to take lines of pumps and see which ones are hooked to which what-chma-callit.
