Will Gen 6 bbc heads work on a gen 4 block

I have searched through the threads re: Gen 6 heads being used on gen 4 blocks. I have a 454 mag engine and have purchased Gen 6 heads. There are many varying answers..I.E. :confused:
Yes you can but need special gaskets, or yes but you have to drill a new water passage in the block. I am hoping that there may be a more clear path to this end. And, since I purchased GEN 6 heads... I am hoping that it is a yes....

yes you can,spec gaskets. Felpro knows how,they make one for this. Call Summit and ask a tech for the right one,,,as a precation contact Fel pro and ask them as well.

Please followup on this one. I cant tell you how many people have told me "no way". Let us know. What are the head casting numbers you bought?
