Fixing chips in drives?
I have 2 drives that I want to clean up. They have a bunch of chips and pits in them due to salt water. What is the easiset way to clean up the pits.
I was thinking of sanding down the drives, blasting the areas of the pits, to get them bare, and then mixing up JB weld and working it in like bondo, sand smooth, prime and paint. Or should I use something else, epoxy, polyesther resin for fiberglass? Opinions wanted. |

Auto paint supply places sell stuff called "metal 2 metal", it's aluminized bondo more or less. After using and smoothing use ppg dp series epoxy primer and then paint. It won't come off till you hit something else.
