Mirroring enging hatch
What is the best material and method for this. I assume acrylic but I don't know what thickness and if it is better to screw or glue. I'd hate to have a saggy mirror.

Re: Mirroring enging hatch
i have used 3/16" mirrored lexan , resists scratches better than say , plexi . applied a cross hatch pattern of fast cure 5200 using a 1/4 " notch trowel.starting in the middle, bow the lexan so the middle makes contact first, then lower sides while using a pressing motion from middle to outer edges . this way you don't trap any air. good luck.

Re: Mirroring enging hatch
I used mirrored lexan last year. For lots of reasons it didn't work out very well. I just replaced it with stainless steel 18 ga. that was polished to a mirror. Costs more, but looks great and its indestructible.
