Help with Trim Indicator bracket
 

I need to find the piece that has the 2 holes in it. Livorsi sells the kit brand new for $193.00 it is nothing more than a small stainless bracket. Mine broke yesterday while I was pulling the drives off. Better now than in the water but it still ticks me off there is no reason for this part to fail.

I ended up welding the bracket but I see the other one is starting to crack.

Who sells the regular style that attaches to the trim ram?



I had this General discussion area with no help. Imagine that a actual boating question :rolleyes:

I am looking for the typical trim sensors that most boats have attached to the rams.
I can't believe no one can give me some info :(
Did a web search and came up with zip I guess I need to start looking through catalogs from Eddie Marine or whoever that sells these???

This is a horrible design and can't believe others are not having failures. The piece is designed to fail.
The trim cable that comes out of the boat is held by this bracket that is attached to the move-able part of the gimbal assembly so every time you steer the boat the bracket flexes.
What may work is a heavy duty bracket that is hinged so that it may move with the drive and maintain the cable position.

One other thing the way this is set up, for me to change over to the "normal" style I do not have enough cable coming out of the boat so I either have to run new cables all the way to the dash or hope they have an extra loop of cable hidden somewhere.
