Is this still the recommended oil?? Just wondering after reading all the posts regarding Mobil 1, Vtwin, etc??

I guess you could say I'm old school. I stick with what the manufactor recomends.

That really depends on whose recommendation you are looking for :D

Merc will say their oil and filter.

A NAPA 1794 Gold will screw right onto the Merc adapter. They are a good quality filter made by Wix, and that part # is for the tall "truck" version, almost double in length, so you get alot of filter media surface area, and no flow restrictions.

wix is one of the best filters you can buy........
