wheres the best place to buy distributer caps for V8 Merc T Bolt ignitions. hate to pay $45.00 apiece at BoatUS. any thoughts?

mines a stock 260 merc 1985

i thought so to. i was just in the store today getting some WestSystem stuff and a few other things for the boat. thought i would grab a pair of caps until i saw the price. figured i'de run it past the board to see if there was a better price somewhere else, maybe an online place or somthing. i think you might be a bit of a drive for me though :D thanks

We sell the genuine Merc cap, PN 805759T1 for $39.60 on-line. However, by the time you add shipping it is going to be more than your West Marine.

Did you try NAPA? That's where I got mine but forgot what I paid :confused:
AL177 and AL178 cap and rotor. 700727 wires :cool:

thanks Mo i will look into that. there is a NAPA close by. if they dont have 'em i think BAM may be the way top go though. even if it cost me the same as the west marine part i will be better off with the factory merc one. i think the one at west was a seirra or somthing.

The NAPA ones are mfg by Echlin and also come with the gasket :cool:

I have been wrong before but dosent Parent company SIERRA own Nappa and Mercuriser? :eek:
I go to Nappa and the price is almost the same as a Mecr dealer.
