hp500 timing (how to set)

How to set the timing on a 1999 hp500 (carb) is there a wire
that has to be grounded out??AND WHAT RPM IS IT ALL IN AT?

My hp465 was in it 3500 @ 36 deg. I think that is the same as the 500. I can't help on the wire, had MSD6al box
