crane hi-6s with mercruiser ignition
 

I have a crane HI-6S box that I'm taking off my truck before I sell it and was wondering if it will work with the stock mercruiser Thunderbolt ignition?The reason I'm taking it off the truck is I replaced the distributor with a MSD replacement and because has a magnetic pick up it won't fire the crane box! It says in the instructions from crane that it won't work with a Hall Effect or Magnetic pick up system,isn't the merc system a hall effect type,if so how are they hooking it up to make it work?
