excessive exhuast steam
I just put on new heads and manifold onto my sbc 1989 mercruiser I got it started and it fired right up it runs mint...I have all new gaskets from risers to heads. I am getting ALOT of steam coming out of the starboard side of the motor..I have it hooked up to the hose so the water is cold. Its white but its a good amount of steam...enough to scare me...Thereis alot of water coming out... but it is hotter on the starboard side but not by much...It seems like a good amount but who knows...what should I check to hopefully reasure myself??? Where are the places that clogs accure or things go wrong?
I know there are alot of threads on this but but they are all different! thanks Harry |
Re: excessive exhuast steam
could be low water pressure on the hose, can you bring it to a boat ramp and start it up on the trailer
