cam for 454 mag
 

Anyone have a part number for what mercury uses for a 454 or 502 mag engine, or crane # for hydraulic roller equivalent.

Single engine 23' with 454 mag that has been modified with brodix aluminum heads, roller rockers, edelbrock intake, and 750 holley carb. Also whoever built this put in a solid lifter camshaft(that is too big), but left the stock mercury exhaust manifolds in place... the oil is getting milky and i'm thinking reversion. think the best bet is changing the cam. since the boat has captains call and rinkers' side exhaust, and the owner wants too keep this in place.

BTW, last Feb my wife and I flew to Cancun, they guy sitting beside us was a friend of yours. I can't remember his name He said he had just gone to a cruiser instad of a go fast.

Thats the stock 420hp/525Sc cam and should be fine. Also look at the #134242. It is very close in specs and a lot cheaper.

The stock 454 mag cam is 224/224 and .510/.510 on a 115.5 lobe sep. It is a GM cam #14096209 or a 5* advanced version is #10185060.
