overheating problem

I am taking care of my friend's 27' Packard. The stock 350 in it starts to overheat soon after I hit 1500-2000 rpm? Any thoughts?

Thanks BT, now I have another problem. Went to start it yesterday, it made a bad belt noise. Sure enough, one of the belts was off. Put the belt back on, started it, now it makes a really loud belt screeching noise!
Water pump? The boat does not get used too much. There is quite a bit of visible rust on the pulleys, pumps, etc..

Remove the belts georges and see which one is frozen. Also look for sign of which pulley the belt was slipping on (shiney). Let us know what you find.

Hi R. Weather permitting. Missed you last weekend. Lloyds was outstanding! Saw Ike and John.
