Default Spun a bearing! How do I check to see if oil line are hooked up correct

I had only about 30 min on my just re-built 502 when I spun a bearing. Could it be possible that I had my oil line (hoses) mixed up. It only showed I had 40 lbs of oil pressure at idle.

Also, when I checked the dip stick for oil while it was running, the dip stick still read full. Should'nt it have been near the add line? When I checked the dip stick after I turned it off it still read at the same mark.

Another thing strange was when I adjusted the lifters while the engine was running there did'nt seem to be much oil pumping out of the push rods. There was oil coming out, but just a light flow. I always that the oil would squirt out and make a big mess.

How can I check to make sure the hoses are correct?

Sounds like you have other issues. What were the bearing clearances? If you switch the lines the worst case is you have to filtering or cooling of the oil for 30 minutes. Read previous posts yesterday about switching lines.

My lines where correct. Reason why I spun a bearing was I forgot to clean the oil cooler from the first spun bearing

A method I've used in the past with good success is, used A/C flushing solvent and compressed air in the direction of oil flow. Works very good to clean out coolers and all the oil lines, solvent drys easy and leaves no residue or chemical build-up.
