Merc Serial Number ID?

Hi all,
What info can be learned from the serial numbers, If any?

I'm looking at buying an Ex offshore boat from this guy who bought it used and doesn't know anything about it.
I'm trying to figure out the year of the motors and if they are 200 or 225 (He thinks 225) here are the serial numbers he gave me.

The serial number are: 597 6038 and 6029

How much info can I get from these numbers?
