Re: jet boat help
Probably needs to clean out orifice where water line connects to 4 header water injection lines. Real easy to get them stopped up.
This assumes correct plumbing and sufficient flow to headers. Normally most water exiting engine goes into tail end of exhaust or over the side. Water to header injection is controlled by a gate valve that can be pinched off or opened up to get more spray. Generaly water comes from jet pump to "tee" to both water pump ports to engine. Then exits at t-stat area and splits 3 ways. 2 go to each exhaust tailpipe and third goes thru gate valve and on-off spring valve to "tee" that feeds header sprayers. If u have a t-stat it gets way more tricky. But above is how most jets were done |
Re: jet boat help
Also there are 1/8" or so weep holes at the bottom of each header bend by sparkplug to allow excess water to drain from headers. Make sure these are open.
