Vortec 350 camshaft
 
What kind of cam is GM putting standard in their 350 vortec engine. Can anyone tell me that ? , I'm changing my cams to XM 270 HR from comp. cams

270 should work . but might be a little big depending on the size of your boat.

Video's are great, I installed them yesterday sound is good, at idle the are a little bit more shaking. why do you think to big ? :evilb:

I guess it depends on how much overlapit has . Should be ok though being a XM cam.let us know on how much it picks up :drink:

hey pbc,
Will that cam work with the stock vortec heads? I thinnk they only support to like .470 lift before the springs are fully compressed. I just bought the same motor and am considering a cam swap for a little more power....

they work very good, Idle less power but reaction is much better also more power. This weekend we are gonna test the boat at www.waterfestival.nl it is a big show for different kind off boats.
