This is the pick that Strip mentioned, i think.

You could have lines correct at remote filter but reversed at filter boss adapter. Happened in another thread http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=104184

Any cheap synth filters while I'm clearing the water out of oil?? Thanks

You will get pressure without flow if it is being bypassed in the block. Make sure you installed the 30psi bypass in the block. If you are using the stock 5psi bypass you very likley have more than 5psi of restriction between cooler & remove filter to get oil to bypass.

I'm getting 55# at the filter cold and 27# when warm but no flow because the filter is COLD and I have bypassed the water around the cooler. I think my block has the center bypass out and the 11# one on the side. It's possible the remote adapter is backwards but I really watched it when installing and wonder if I missing something else.

BTW my remote adapter is the cheapo "not for marine" by transdapt or something. Just a a cast alum. piece with no moving parts. Funny thing is, ha ha, I remember they had the input and output reversed on the diagram,,,hummmmmmm
I asummed the center was out. But still when I unscrewed the input line to the filter and cranked it over it gushed oil out???So it seems right at that point

On your adapter, the port that feeds through the center to the block is the return. Remember that oil filters go from the outside to the inside. More surface area that way.
