supercharge powerquest 29 enticer

I would like some feedback about installing superchargers on my 7.4 mpi twin engines. I would like to purchase Pro chargers for my engines 5psi. The engines sit pretty tight with minimal room in front. Has anybody installed the superchargers on the 29 Powerquest Enticer(1999) with Bravo 1's and big block engines? If so any modifications i should know about? Pro charger says i'll gain at least 100+ h.p. (each engine) easily with 10-20mph with the correct prop change. Thank you Jeff

I have heard that the 29 does not like higher speeds. This may or may not be true. Call the factory and ask them they will know the answer. I would also join this board and ask the guys in the PQ forum they will be able to help you a lot more since it's a boat specific question.

You will only need an additional 1.625 inches in front of the motor. I have twin small blocks in a 7.5 foot beam boat, it is as tight as it gets and they fit nice. 10 mph is reasonable. From my reading 20 mph is rare, but it happens on some boats. I have gained 10 and I am still testing props.

I agree with Scott. A friend of mine has one, it is a handfull at WOT. I have prochargers on my formula, I am not so sure they will fit your boat. A whipple might be an easier set up. In either case, if you decide to do any upgrades on this boat, you need to have external steering, if you do not already. Hopefully someone has done this on your boat to give better insight to this, because I agree with Scott, this boat may not be a good choice for more power.

I've heard that as well, that the 29 is really pretty unhappy over about 75 mph. Curious as I have a '96, but mine is at best a 65 mph boat (twin 330's).

Thank you all for your info. Hopefully someone out there has done this to their Powerquest 29 Enticer and they can give me more details. Thanks again for your feedback Paxtonsc

I own a 1999 enticer290 with twin 454 mpi I have stage two prochargers and intercoolers. My boat is running about 76 mph with 1/4 tank fuel. It does get very unstable past 72 or so I am only turning 4300 or 4400 rpms My engine's have forged pistons and cranks my out drives were built with imco hardened gears and I am running 80lbs fuel injectors. All I need to break 80 is a nice set of labbed props so I can turn 5000 rpms and build some more boost! I am only at 4lbs boost now at 4400 rpms so I have alot more power hidding that my Wife doesnt know about (yet)! I am currently running 4 blade 27.5 pitch props just plain old braco props. :D I could possibly email you some photos if your interested? Give me a call if you like 502-773-2484 Ed
