Oil leak of unknown origin

My Whipple quad rotor 540ci has developed an oil leak. It seems to be under the distributor and puddles in the area around the distributor behind the intercooler. It has been causing ignition issues with the coil and under the cap. Oil gets on the coil and inside the distributor if I run under boost for any length of time. (Its not coming up inside the distributor, but rather being sucked into the distributor) This year I switched to Mobil 1 V twin 20W50, but I'm not sure if this is a cause or coincidence. The engine has 20hrs of use and runs very strong, as long as the oil is cleaned off before any high-speed run. I have replaced the distributor gasket to no avail. The distributor is a MSD tall deck model. I don’t know where else to look.

Re: Oil leak of unknown origin

I think I have a small oil leak too. I was going to put some dye in it and take it out for the weekend so I could come back and look at it with a black light. I figured I would clean off the entire motor with some brake cleaner first since I can't figure out where it's coming from.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
