Default Need gears for SSM V's

I currently have the stock 1.50 gears in my #5 drives on my 33 Daytona. I am looking for a set of 1.28 gears in good condition. Anyone have any they want to part with or know where I can score a set reasonably?

Thanks!

Laveyman, there are several combinations that can be put together with the upper and lower gears for the #5.However,I'm only aware of two lower ratios, One is 1to 1 and the other is 1.25 to 1.To have 1.50 final ratio you have 1.50 uppers and 1 to 1 lowers. If you will look on the port side of the drive where the lower meets the upper, you should find letters and numbers. If you will give me that information I can tell you what combination the drive(s) were built with.I do have two sets of gears and mounted bearings for the uppers.Unfortionately, they are 1.50. I,to wanted to turn the prop shaft slower. However,I found that lower ratios were limited to 750 horsepower. Therefore, the switch was made to #6 dry sump.

CcanDo,
Are the gesars you have uppers? If they are lowers, and they are limited to 750 HP then they will not work as I run 1000+ HP per motor. I will try to go to my storage unit this weekend and get the numbers off the drives. I'm guessing these numbers are in a different area than the serial number plates on the gimbal area??? Will the serial numbers on the drives give you the same info? Thanks for your help so far.

Laveyman,
I was not implying my gear sets were limited to 750 HP, but I will explain more when we know your ratios. When you are standing behind the boat, look on the left side where the top half of the out-drive meets the bottom half (ie. where the black meets the raw aluminum). Stamped in the black will be the numbers we need to determine production date, drive ratio, generation 1 or 2, etc. With this information, I can give you information on what gear sets will work with 1000 hp.

I had someone look at the drives. The only number he saw cast in the drive was 12702 . I also have the serial numbers from the upper and lower drive for the STBD side if that helps. They are:

UPPER OL416396

LOWER OL416417

Does any of this makes sense to you? Thanks again for the help.
