Toe in or Toe out?
 

Do you guys run your outdrives on twins perfectly inline or do you see better results with toe in or toe out, and if so by how much?

Was reading a post on another board and a guy claimed to see a 3 MPH gain in speed by playing with the drive alignment.

Unfortunately he did not give a lot of details and I have not been able to get him to replay as of yet.

Straight to an 1/8 of an inch toe in at the bullets usually runs the best

Thanks, it may seem crazy but mine were toed in a little, maybe 1/8 inch and I straightened them out. Seems that I lost performance and picked up a little extra slip.

I'm going to toe them back in and see what happens.

I was told toe in due to the way that the water comes off the bottom of the boat. I was told that 1/8 to even 1/4" was about right depending on the boat.
