Where to find Gaffrig gauges?
I am looking for a white 2 1/16" Gaffrig depth gauge and have had no luck in locating one on-line. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, TJ

Re: Where to find Gaffrig gauges?
I went to that web site and all they have is Livorsi gauges...got to have Gaffrig to match the rest.

Re: Where to find Gaffrig gauges?
Gaffrig doest exist anymore.....Livorsi is the same product. always has been. just sold under a different trade name.

Re: Where to find Gaffrig gauges?
So the logo on the gauge wont say Gaffrig anymore?
|
Re: Where to find Gaffrig gauges?
thats correct... Gaffrig Gauges were alway made by Livorsi. So you should be able to get the same gauge. It will just say Livorsi

Re: Where to find Gaffrig gauges?
Get them plain with no name. That is what I did.

Re: Where to find Gaffrig gauges?
You may try Rex marine...end of last year they were selling Gaffrig guages from the new owner of the name Gaffrig and the instruments are produced overseas NOT Livorsi anymore. I retrofitted my Nova last year and I was made aware that Gaffrig is not Livorsi anymore. Livorsi is the real deal with precision components that we are use to and are original equip in quality oems; gaffrig has spun off to do their own deal with Gaffrig Logo-

Re: Where to find Gaffrig gauges?
Livorsi is made by Autometer now, not Gaffrig anymore. You can still buy Gaffrig guages, they still make a very good product. www.tpmarine.com sells them, he's an authorized distributer for Gaffrig.

Livorsi's guages used to named and sold as "Gaffrig Precision Instruments" and were manufactured by Livorsi Marine Inc. As far as who actually makes them, I don't know. The other brand was/still is called "Gaffrig Performance" and the overall concensus is that they not as good as the Livorsi guages. |

I agree with that, Livorsi is THE top of the line, period. Gaffrig seems to be a good value for the money though. The Livorsi stuff is made by Autometer, don't let any tell you different, they are just a little bit different, they have a patent on the u/v protected indicator and they are completely water tight (supposedly). I think there specs are a little better than Autometer's. I heard they weren't too happy when Autometer decided to offer marine gauges for Rex Marine or Eddie Marine. I think everyone in that industry has been battling back and forth over products and distributorship's. |
