Re: Less Oil Pressure w/Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W50
I am using the Mobil 1 M-302 filter. So far, so good.
Since replacing the original 7.4L with a 502 I have had oil temp issues. I started with the original oil cooler and found out right away it was WAY too small for the 502. I went to a 2 X 12 oil cooler with a separate PS cooler. Better, but not good enough. Last year I went to a 3 X 12 oil cooler and replumbed everything with 10AN hose and fewer sharp turns. That worked much better but, still not as good as I was looking for. Now, with the change to V-Twin, I am a happy guy. Thanks , Hydro.

The machine shop reported perfect bearings and bores, like new in fact. The oil performed FLAWLESSLY, and protected his engines up to 5200 rpm for some looong runs in 100 degree south Texas heat. Temps ran 210-230, pressures normal. He changed his oil and filters every 25 hours.
His oil... Kendall 40wt.
