The reservior is at the bottom. At the top of the reservoir portion there is a plug at the front horizontally. Unscrew the plug and fill with an old fashioned oil can with the thumb pump.

Its a plastic plug and looks like a screw sticking out of the top of the canister.

I thought it stuck out the front. Oh well, it's been a while.

I've been fighting that issue--I took the dipstick to ACE hardware and got a nylon thread to hose nipple adapter that would screw in the dipstick hole and attached some clear hose to that and put a small funnel on other end.

The can with trigger is good to top of--you have a huge hand nad wrist if you had to fill from empty with that thing.

A squirt bottle like they use for ketchup at some restaraunts works or get the "pointy" cap that comes on some transmission fluid bottles--that helps.

Also get a lot of rags when filling.

Some engineering is like "fast" food--oxymoron for sure

It's not user friendly.

I usually get the merc bottle, it already has a point on it that fits into the housing. If I run out, i just squeeze the bottle and suck in some new fluid and re-use it again.

You could be right too. It doesn't leak, so I hardly ever look at it.

My pumps say use 30w oil--mechanic says use Automatic Trans fluid or power steering fliud.

I think he added the P/S fluid to top of--is it a problem to mix the two?

Which is the best fluid to use?

Hoping someone can guide me in the right direction since some of you recently worked on these pumps....

I just went through cleaning the screens and refilling the unit with oil.... what is the proper way to get the oil through the trim tab system? Does the unit auto purge any air in the system?
