pencil size leak at transom, close to cooling hose
I have an intermittent leak around where the suction hose attaches to the transom on a Bravo 1. It's a round stream as though coming from a hole for a screw or?
I have my exhaust blocked and sealed and don't have the outside hose for exhaust on. Most of the time it comes in fast enough to keep the sump going on every 5 mins or so,,other times it will sit for 2 hrs and never come on? Could a leak in my "u-joint" boot cause this by squeezing the crack closed at times. Maybe I could trim it while sitting and watch for a change in flow. Seems like it would be coming in around the drive shaft if that boot was leaking??

I changed my shift cable an boot, I was only geting water in the bilge when my drive was all the way up like when you pull up to beach. It ended up being a small rip in the boot, no leaks since.

I don't know if the bravo is same as the alpha.. but on the alpha there is a 1/4" in the transom assembly that connects to the bellow area. When water comes through this hole, this means your main u-joint bellow is leaking. Mine leaked through this hole I had to put a new bellow on.. it was torn..
