mercury 525efi valve springs?

hi,
I have a 2003 525efi. it has 130hrs on it most of which was at 4500-5000 rpm's. I run the heck out of it and would like to replace the valve springs a little earlier than most people would just to be safe due to the way I abuse the motor. I also plan to instal a whipple soon. Can anyone here recommend if I should use a stronger set of springs or should I just go with the same ones in it?

The 525 EFI engine runs a Crane 99896 spring set @ 132# @ 1.906 seat and 414# open. I would suggest you check these values and if you are not within spec, change springs. When you make the switch to forced you will need need to increase spring force in relation to boost. You may be able to shim the 99896 springs to accomplish this provided the lift does not bring you closer than .060" to stack.
