Help Needed!! I'm Stumped
I need some help. Had my prop sent out for repair recently. Figured it was a good time to have faulty tach replaced under warranty. Got prop and boat back yesterday and put prop on this a.m. Went to marina and launched boat. After idling out of channel, i advanced throttle and nothing! The tach started to advance but the boat didn't move, the engine just revved. Reloaded and came home. Put it on the hose and ran motor. Prop was spinning in forward and reverse. No noise or vibration. I know it is put back on correct as there are only 4 componants. I don't know what else to look for. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Spun Coupler? Do you have a rubber hub, it may be spun?

Re: Help Needed!! I'm Stumped
If it's a spun coupler you should have had a burning rubber smell and rubber dust around the back of the motor.
I'm wondering if you are using the same hub and thrust washer that you had in it? BTW i think there are 5 components. Thrust washer, hub, castelated splined sleeve, locking tab washer and nut. |
