98 502 mpi power steering pulley

pulling into dock my starb., engine alarm went off on temp., found power steering pulley has broken at shaft. Pulley is made of plastic , the other motar seems to be made of steel, went on the net to order one and part #8077281 is NLA. Has anyone had same problem, and where to get new pulley, it is the wider belt like on late model cars. Any help would be appreciated.I assume pulley is pressed on, I will take old one off tonight.

part number you quoted has been super seeded check again with yuor mercruiser dealer

Thanks very much, there was an update bulliten the new pulley is the same as the port motar metal , the port motar must have a newer serial# or has been replaced already before I received the boat.
