prop question

i was just wondering if the prop is supposed to have some play on the shaft?

The prop should not move around on the prop shaft. It' normal for the propshaft to have forward to aft play but the prop should be firm on the shaft.

I have seen several occasions with the Mercruy Flo Torque 2 system with the solid insert on standard propshafts have play. Is that the set-up you have on your boat?
