Hi ! That's a good Idea Mr Velocity. I thought that too and already put the 6000 chips in. I think the tachs are off. What if the motors revved to 6000 ? Wouldn't that possibly hurt them or shorten thier lifespan ? Tried to hook up an inductive tach , with a digital readout. It would not give me a reading.
I have a hand held Ez tach which is battery powered and about the size of a banana. It works but I don't want to go for a ride in the bilge ! I told my friend to buy the digital tachs like a Livorsi or Faria. Whatever happens , I don't want to be doing any more major motor repairs on this thing for a while. If anything was to happen, Im the guy that has to fix it . I have to fix several other boats, including my own. Thanks alot guys, BBB
