beeping alarm won't shut off
I have a 1989 20' Cararra with a 220 Laser XRI (EFI)(Mercury) and can not figure out why the beeping alarm won't shut off. The oil level is good the fuel is good. Looking for a list of reasons why the alarm will sound. Does any one have any idea's where to start? I also have been looking for a manual. Thankyou in advance

Re: beeping alarm won't shut off
I had an alarm this weekend and sure enough it was the drive oil reservior. It's a common cause for the alarm going off when everything else seems normal.

Re: beeping alarm won't shut off
I had a similar problem and it was a faulty depth gage that had an alarm. It would just start beeping and saying I was in a foot of water, but in reality I was in 30 feet. I just turned off the depth alarm :) Not sure if yours is the same problem but maybe worth checking out.

Re: beeping alarm won't shut off
If your running hard and slow down quickly your oil pressure will sometimes drop below the alarm range.
