Give Don at TP Marine 602-438-1361 a call, he has a wide varity of strainers and can get you set-up pretty reasonably.

My sea strainers have a one way overflow valve. A few weeks ago the spring broke in this valve and the valve stuck open sucking air. Needless to say it made quick work of my impeller as soon as I slowed down.

I took it apart. The pump is like brand new. Sea weed was clogged right in the intake of the pump. I back flushed everything and now i am going to buy some sea strainers asap. anybody have a preference, i noticed on here they have them with dual intakes and dual outs, can i usse this to only have one for both engines? How about the cheap $20-40 ones i see that are plastic, would these work or not enought flow? I see some are like $400

Great to hear that you found the problem. Gaffrig makes a nice universal one. I would use 1 sea strainer for each engine unless you have one custom made. I know some Fountains only use one but thats on a 42' w/1050 sterlings in it.
