Swim Platform

I have a 1995 24' Baja Outlaw with a fiberglass swim platform and it has a gray rubbery surface in the center on both sides which is getting faded and worn. My question is can it be replaced with something over it or does it have to be removed. Man, I don't really want to try and take it off because it looks like a ugly job. Help in Pa.

Check out Sea Deck---it's made here and was originally some sort of surface for surf biards. Good stuff/nice guys,

A friend of mine had the same thing on his Rinker. I was dirty and worn and beginning to rip. He scraped and sanded it off.
He then used grey gel coat with an antiskid compound added. Looked and worked great.
