Saw this website and it is quite the additive. Very very pricey though. Its a catylst that decreases metal fatique, increases hp 10-35%, cleans emissions, decreases sox nox and hydrocarbons. Also lowers sulfur. Has anyone heard or seen this before? If so how did you like it??

SECTION VII: SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES
Steps To Be Taken In Case Materials Are Released Or Spilled
Small Spills: Eliminate all sources of ignition such as flares, flames, including pilot lights and electrical sparks. Absorb liquid or paper, vermiculite, floor absorbent material and dispose properly.
Large Spills Eliminate all sources of ignition such as flares, flames, including pilot lights and electrical sparks. Persons not wearing protective equipment should be excluded from the area of the spill until clean-up has been completed. Stop all spills at source, dike area of spill to prevent spreading; pump liquid to salvage tank. Remaining liquid may be taken up on sand, clay, earth, floor absorbent, or other containers. Prevent run-off to sewers, streams, or other bodies of water. If run-off occurs, notify proper authorities.
Waste Disposal Method
Small Spills: Allow volatile portion to evaporate in hood. Allow sufficient time for vapors to completely clear duct work. Dispose of remaining material in accordance with applicable regulations.
Large Spills: Destroy all liquid by incineration. Contaminated absorbent may be deposited in a landfill in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

SECTION VIII: PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT TO BE USED
Respiratory Protection: If work place exposure limits of this Product is exceeded (See Section II), use of a NIOSH/MSHA approved air supplied respirator is advised in absence of proper environmental control. OSHA regulations also permit other NIOSH/MSHA respirators (negative pressure type) under specified conditions. Engineering or administrative controls should be implemented to reduce exposure.
Ventilation: Provide sufficient mechanical (general and/or local exhaust) ventilation to maintain exposure below TLV(s).
Protective Gloves: Wear resistant gloves, such as neoprene.
Eye Protection: Chemical splash goggles in compliance with OSHA regulations are advised. However, OSHA regulations also permit other type safety glasses.
Other: Wear impervious clothing and boots to prevent repeated or prolonged skin contact.

I love it - works great with my 150 mpg carburetor! I was lucky to snag the carb from a guy selling them out of the back of Popular Science magazine - he said he had to use a P.O. Box and change the address all the time because the oil and auto companies kept trying to shut him down.

Now I get almost 200 mpg and my truck has 300 more horsepower.

Let’s see: If fuel is only combustible when mixed with air at a ratio of between 12-14:1 ....... I still don't understand how a carb can do that, or more interesting is that people actually believe it. I still hear this story from time to time.

Look I think this may be snake oil toO. But the price is exspensive and makes you wonder..

Dupont came out with an PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and every one wanted to claim that it was a great additive for your oil. Well the problem is PTFE is a solid basicly a solid. They would take this in a submicron particulate and add a liquid based additive the mixture giving you an additive for oil.

The theory was that the PTFE would coat the moving parts making it friction-less. Well it also coated the non-moving parts. Well the problem with that theory is that PTFE expands when it is exposed to heat and when this so called additive expands it becomes larger. When it became larger it would clog the oil filter and also the oil passages.

So when you saw your oil pressure go up this would be the reason why. You all have heard of the additive, its called SLICK-50!!!!

The best additive out there right now that I know of is zinc dialkyldithiophosphate(sp?) Zinc in used in many high performance oils, like high climate oils, tubo oils and 4x4 oils. Any oil that is made for high performance. The zinc additve is basically the last line of defense your motor has when ever the metal to metal contact is taking place. Like when your over reving(sp?) and the your piston rings and cylinders are passing the safe operation of the oil.

Quick note:

What I meant by safe operation of the oil... Every oil has his thermal break down point. Oil comes from breaking down crude oil at a particulat temperature and done by heat steam and catalyst. This is when butance propane gas and all other fuel and fuel gases come from. Where I was going with this is when the viscosity is temporarily broken up, you release hydrocarbons and also change the safety factor of your oil.. Ever wonder why your oil was so black??

So back to the zinc, when your oil is beyond its limits this zinc additive jumps in to protect your pistons and sleeves from scaring... in short story :D

Smokey Yunic had alot of great ideas some of them ended up as things that we consider everyday equipment like variable ratio power steering, others never made it to completion but the guy had alot of brilliant ideas and I think some of them are worth takeing another look at.

Comical! Has a PH level of 1.5. This will do wonders to aluminum and steel. I wouldn't put that in my tank if you paid me! There are a bunch of these schemes out there.

well there are 6 people going to try this from a refinery that I call on. They are going to compare fuel mileage. One they have found their results I will post them to let you know if there is am advantage or not..

I have a friend who is doing the Acetone additive. F350 with 351 FI engine. Went from 9.5 to 13.9 MPG. Othes are doing this as well.

Do a google serach on acetone in gasoline, seems many are having positive results. Perhaps a thread should be started on this. I think there was one on speedwake with actual results.
